2am

It’s 2am, we just left Pierre, and now we’re searching for the area where we’ll sleep tonight. I hope Pierre is okay, He hasn’t been feeling well, but decided he was going to run anyway. We’re supposed to meet Dieter and Van 2 at 6:40 tomorrow morning, but we’re just a little behind so maybe we’ll get to sleep another hour.

We’ve arrived at the camping ‘field,’ Lizzy just jumped out of the car – this place is a maze…she’s never going to find us again. ….after parking, we headed to the bathrooms. The camp is a crazy place, tons of car, people in sleeping bags all over the ground, I can’t believe that no one gets run over, Car lights shine through the dusty night air. The sky is clear now with tons of stars, but the clouds are starting to come in and it seems darker. We found Lizzy near the restrooms - that was a relief.

After somewhat successfully navigating back to the van, I have changed and gotten everything ready for tomorrow morning’s run. I roll my mat out and jump into my sleeping back. It’s after 4:30am now and morning will come fast.
