Lizzy's run had plenty of up- and downhill that she powered right through. It was probably the most beautiful of the first legs because on a road with less traffic that went approximately parallel to the highway the rest of us ran along. Being on this smaller road surrounded by lots of trees also afforded good shade, which Lizzy appreciated.

Pierre is so ready! And Cat's feeling well balanced after her run.
Lizzy just a few feet from the end of her run - she finished nearly 10 minutes under her estimated time! We could hardly keep up!
